Two-factor authentication (2FA) enhances account security and protects your account even if your password is compromised. To sign in, you must confirm your login using a one-time code.
How two-factor authentication works?
Two-factor authentication is enabled by default for all platform users. When you sign in for the first time, the system sends a one-time code to the email address you used during registration.
You won’t need to enter the code again when logging in from the same device. However, if you sign in from a different device or your browser’s digital fingerprint changes, the system will request verification again.
Important
A digital fingerprint may change if you access the platform from a different location. For example, if you previously logged in from home and then try to sign in from a café, you’ll need to enter the code again.
A device remains trusted for 90 days.
Verification methods
You can choose a convenient verification method: email code or an authenticator app. You can manage your verification method in your account settings — click your name in the profile header and select the preferred option.
Email code
When you sign in, the system sends a one-time code to your registered email address.
Enter the code in the login form on the screen.
Authenticator app code
After your first login using the email code, you can enable an authenticator app. This is a more secure verification method.
Install an authenticator app on your smartphone (for example, Google Authenticator).
Scan the QR code or add the details manually in your profile settings.
Enter the code from the app to complete the setup.
How to disable authenticator app verification?
Click your name in the profile header, go to “Code from authenticator app”, then select “Unlink application”.
Important
Two-factor authentication significantly improves account security. You can choose your preferred verification method, but it is not possible to disable two-factor authentication entirely.
