Password recovery

Updated over 3 weeks ago

How to recover your password

  1. Go to the account login page and click "Forgot password?".

  2. Enter the email address you used during registration and click "Send request".

  3. You will receive an email from [email protected] titled "Please set a new password".

  4. Open the email and click the "Set a new password" button.

  5. Create a new password consisting of at least 8 characters. We recommend using a strong password that can include uppercase letters, numbers, and special symbols.

  6. Confirm your new password and click "Apply".

  7. Use your new password to log in to the platform.

What if you haven't received the email?

  • Check your "Spam" or "Promotions" folder. The email may have landed there.

  • Check if you have entered the same email used during registration.

  • Try resending the request after a few minutes.

  • If you still have no email, contact our support team at [email protected].

Two-Factor Authentication

Two-factor authentication is enabled for all accounts on 4dev.com. It provides an extra layer of protection: even if your password is compromised, your account will remain secure.

How it works:

  • When you log in, the system will request a one-time code.

  • By default, the code is sent to the email address you provided during registration.

  • After your first successful login, your device is remembered, and you won’t need to enter a code again for 90 days, provided you're using the same device and network.

  • You can choose your preferred verification method: continue receiving codes via email or use an authenticator app (e.g., Google Authenticator).

You can find more details about how two-factor authentication works, available verification methods, and account recovery in the article "Two-Factor Authentication."

How to securely store passwords

To protect your data, avoid using the same password across multiple services, and do not store password info in unprotected locations. You may want to use secure password managers such as 1Password, Bitwarden, KeePass, or LastPass. You can also use built-in password managers on your computer, such as macOS Keychain or Windows Credential Manager.

If you have any questions, please contact our support team via online chat on the platform or at [email protected]. We are always ready to assist!
