Why Two-Factor Authentication Is Necessary
Two-factor authentication enhances account security, protecting it even if a password is compromised. Logging in requires confirmation with a one-time code.
How Two-Factor Authentication Works
Two-factor authentication is enabled by default for all users.
Upon the first login, the system will send a one-time code to the email address provided during registration.
After successfully entering the code, the device is marked as trusted, so you won’t need to enter the code again when logging in from it.
If you log in from another device or if the browser’s digital fingerprint changes, the system will request confirmation again.
Note:
The digital fingerprint changes if you access the platform from a different location. For example, if you previously logged in from home and now access the platform from a café.
A trusted device remains on the list for 90 days.
Confirmation Methods
You can choose a convenient confirmation method: continue receiving the code via email or connect an authenticator app to generate codes.
To manage your confirmation method, go to your account settings: click your name in the profile header and select the desired option.
First Method — Code from an Email
The system sends a one-time code to the email address specified during registration.
Enter the code on the login screen.
Second Method — Code from an Authenticator App
After the first login using the email code, you can connect the authenticator app — this is a more secure method.
The app (for example, Google Authenticator) is installed on a smartphone and generates one-time login codes.
How to Connect It:
Install an authenticator app.
Scan the QR code or add the data manually in the profile settings.
Enter the code from the app to complete the connection.
For better security, we recommend connecting the authenticator app.
What’s Important to Know
If you lose access to the authenticator app, you can restore access using one of the recovery codes. A list of 10 one-time codes is generated in your personal account after connecting the authenticator app. You will receive it right after scanning the QR code and entering the first code from the app. Later, the list of recovery codes will be available in your account settings.
How to Disable Verification via Authenticator App
Click your name in the profile header, go to the “Code from authenticator app” section and select “Unlink application”.
Note: Two-factor authentication helps protect your account. You can choose your preferred verification method, but this feature cannot be completely disabled.
If you have any questions during the verification process, contact support in-platform chat or write to [email protected]. We’re always ready to help!
