You can create tasks on 4dev.com in two ways:
Through your dashboard, using the “Add” button — as described in this article.
By importing an XLSX file, you can upload multiple tasks at once.
Important
You cannot pay for tasks completed before the contractor was invited to the platform. Make sure the contractor is registered and appears in your list before creating a task for them.
How to create a task manually
Go to the “Tasks” section and click “Add”.
Enter the required details:
Specify the contractor’s payout amount.
Select the currency.
Choose a contractor from the list if already added, or use the “Invite a new contractor” option.
Important
A minimum task amount applies (for example, 20 USD, 20 EUR, and 12 USDT). The exact minimum depends on the currency and is shown in your dashboard when creating a task.
For more details, see the article “Task Management Through 'Settings'”.
Add a task name for the invoice. You can choose from a dropdown list of common options or enter your own.
Important
The service type is stated in the closing documents for both the company and the contractor. Please choose it carefully.
Fill in the remaining fields:
Task description. Provide a detailed description of the work performed. You can include links to briefs or tasks in trackers — this helps confirm the type of service.
Task period. You can use a preset to specify the timeframe.
Important
This information will appear in the closing documents.
Task status after creation
If the “Automatically publish tasks for execution” option is enabled in settings, newly created tasks are saved in the “Draft” status. This means you can delete the task or edit any data except the contractor. This is not possible in other statuses.
For more details, see the articles “Task Management Through 'Settings'” and “Task Statuses”.
What happens next
When you send a task for payment:
The task amount is deducted from your balance.
The contractor receives a notification via email and in their dashboard.
If the contractor accepts the task:
All closing documents are generated.
The amount is credited to the contractor’s balance.
If the contractor rejects the task or you cancel it, the amount is automatically returned to your balance.
